  • Quant staged one of the sharpest rebounds among large-cap altcoins after ten days of losses.
  • Most of the gain came from a single four-hour candle on the heaviest volume of the month’s second half.
  • Selling near the swing high was almost as heavy as the buying that drove the breakout.
  • The Clearing House network will not process live transactions until 2027.

The Quant price gained 12.3% in 24 hours to about $209 on Monday, October 26, as QNT recovered from a $173.56 low printed late on October 24 and pushed its market capitalization back to roughly $2.52 billion. The rebound peaked at $223.96 before sellers forced a red close near $211, so the token now trades in a narrow band between the first resistance and first support levels of its new range.

The swing follows a month of extreme volatility. After Quant announced on September 24 that The Clearing House, the payments company owned by the largest US banks, had chosen it to run the technology behind its On-Chain Money Initiative, QNT rose from under $100 to more than $370 within weeks. Profit-taking then erased about half of that advance, and the token traded near $192 on October 20. Monday’s level still leaves QNT around 51% below its $428.45 all-time high from September 2021.

A single candle erased a week of selling

Between October 14 and October 24 the four-hour chart showed a clean series of lower highs, and the decline ended on the lower Bollinger Band with the 14-period RSI close to 30. Price had dropped about as far below its 20-period average as recent volatility normally allows, while the RSI reading pointed to selling that was running out of force.

Buyers first reclaimed the middle band near $188 on October 25, lifting RSI back above 50 without any burst of volume. On October 26 a single four-hour candle then carried QNT from roughly $194 to about $216 on the largest volume bar of the two-week window. The next candle reached $223.96 yet closed near $211, and its long upper wick shows that every attempt to hold above $220 met fresh supply before the session ended.

Retracements of the $173.56 to $223.96 rebound.

Fibonacci retracements show how much of a rally a pullback has given back. The 0.618 level at $192.81 deserves the closest attention because it coincides with the base of Monday’s breakout candle, the zone where the heavy buying first appeared and where those buyers would likely defend their entries.

Sellers matched the breakout volume

The red rejection candle printed a volume bar nearly as tall as the green breakout bar before it, which suggests traders who bought higher in October used the bounce to reduce exposure. Volume on the current candle has dropped to about 2,500 QNT, and its doji shape, with open and close almost equal, reflects a market waiting for the next push.

The Bollinger Bands are expanding fast, with the upper band near $210.5, the middle band around $188 and the lower band close to $165.6. Price is pressing against the upper band, typical for a momentum phase, though the wicks that poked well above it show the spike outran the volatility range traders had been pricing in. RSI touched roughly 78, a level that flags an overheated short-term move, and has since eased to about 65, while its signal line near 51 keeps rising.

A 2027 bank launch priced in today

Quant builds interoperability software that lets separate ledgers move value between each other. In the Clearing House project it provides the orchestration and transaction-management layer, and it will also offer banks that lack their own tokenized deposit capability a shared platform through its Tokenised Deposits-as-a-Service product, which extends the reach of the deal to smaller US lenders.

The harder question for holders is how much of that work ever shows up as demand for QNT itself. Quant has historically linked licences for its Overledger platform to QNT holdings, the core of the bullish argument, yet the financial terms of the Clearing House agreement have not been published. The Clearing House expects to open the network to participating institutions in the first half of 2027, which leaves the token trading on expectations for at least another six to eight months. No new Quant-specific announcement accompanied Monday’s move, so the spike looks like traders re-pricing the September story after a deep correction.

Bulls need a close above $212

Holding $204.71 and closing a four-hour candle above $212.07 would turn the rejection into a shallow flag, a short pause after a sharp advance, and put $223.96 back within reach. The $216 to $218 area from the October 21 to 22 highs stands in the way first. A close above $224 would end the lower-high pattern in place since mid-October, a condition any lasting reversal still has to meet.

If $204.71 gives way on rising volume, the next test is $198.76, followed by the $192.81 to $194 zone. Price can absorb that pullback without damaging the rebound as long as it stays above the middle band near $188, but a four-hour close below it would mark the October 26 spike as a short-lived squeeze.

Quant has kept building its patent base during the correction, securing a Japanese patent for its multi-ledger token technology in mid-October, and the company’s next disclosures on Clearing House integration milestones are the most likely fundamental catalyst before 2027. Until then, how QNT trades on its next approach to $224, and whether volume expands or fades there, will show if fresh capital is arriving or the same holders are trading the September rally back and forth.
