Canaan Inc. will showcase innovative Bitcoin mining solutions, including residential-focused devices, at Bitcoin Asia 2026 in Hong Kong.
Canaan Inc. (NASDAQ: CAN), a leading provider of Bitcoin mining hardware, has announced its participation in Bitcoin Asia 2026, taking place on August 27-28 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The company plans to debut several residential-focused mining solutions, marking a notable shift from its traditional focus on industrial-scale operations.
The highlight of Canaan’s exhibit will be three new Avalon hardware models designed for home use: the Avalon Nano 3S, Avalon Mini 3, and AvalonQ. These devices cater to a growing market segment interested in Bitcoin mining at home, with features like low noise, heat repurposing, and adaptive power modes. For instance, the Avalon Mini 3 doubles as a space heater, showcasing Canaan’s push toward integrating mining technologies with everyday living.
Bitcoin’s current price of $78,931 (as of August 25, 2026) and its $1.59 trillion market cap underscore the ongoing interest in the crypto market, even as mining profitability faces challenges from rising global hash rates and energy costs. This backdrop makes Canaan’s diversification into user-friendly, residential solutions particularly timely.
Canaan’s recent operational updates provide further context for its strategic pivot. In July 2026, the company mined 46 BTC, a decline from 64 BTC in June, marking its second consecutive month of reduced output. This drop highlights increasing competition and potential inefficiencies in large-scale operations, lending credence to its move into less resource-intensive residential hardware.
Attendees at Bitcoin Asia 2026 can engage with Canaan’s team at Booth 143 to explore these new products and discuss broader topics like hardware performance, heat recovery technology, and decentralized hashrate networks. The company’s focus on “From Enterprise to Home” reflects its aim to meet varied customer needs, from industrial miners to individual enthusiasts.
Since its founding in 2013, Canaan has been a pioneer in Bitcoin mining hardware, with its Avalon brand recognized for introducing the first ASIC-based Bitcoin miners. The company went public on Nasdaq in 2019 and has since expanded its operations globally. Despite recent challenges, including declining Bitcoin production and a soft spot in its stock price (currently trading at $0.3535), Canaan’s continued innovation suggests it remains a key player in the evolving Bitcoin mining sector.
Bitcoin Asia 2026 will serve as a critical platform for Canaan to solidify its position in the residential market. With the conference just around the corner, the coming days could offer important insights into how well these new products resonate with industry stakeholders and retail users alike.
