The update extends a relationship that has already moved beyond infrastructure and into enterprise distribution.

Evidence and context

In its announcement, OpenAI said the companies are working to place Oracle business applications and AI agents inside ChatGPT, and to support new Oracle products through the collaboration. The statement did not include pricing, rollout timing, customer counts or a product launch schedule.

The partnership has been building through multiple prior steps. OpenAI said on Aug. 7, 2026 that eligible Oracle Universal Credits can be used to purchase OpenAI API models, Codex and ChatGPT Work through Oracle Marketplace. Oracle also said on Oct. 16, 2026 that its own employees were adopting Enterprise ChatGPT as part of its AI-transformation update, indicating internal use of OpenAI software within the company.

The expansion comes against a broader backdrop of joint infrastructure development. Oracle said in a June 11, 2024 announcement with Microsoft and OpenAI that Oracle Cloud Infrastructure would supply additional capacity by extending Microsoft’s Azure AI platform. OpenAI later named Oracle among the initial equity funders in its Jan. 21, 2025 Stargate announcement, which outlined an intention to invest $500 billion in U.S. AI infrastructure over four years. OpenAI then said on July 22, 2025 that it had agreed with Oracle to develop an additional 4.5 gigawatts of U.S. Stargate capacity, taking the total described in that update to more than 5 gigawatts under development and more than 2 million chips. Those figures described planned development, not already completed capacity.

Oracle’s current infrastructure page, as of September 2026, said Abilene had delivered 75% of total capacity, while customer delivery at Shackelford and Doña Ana County was scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027. That timeline gives the partnership a physical infrastructure layer, while the new OpenAI announcement points to a broader software and distribution tie-up.

There were no verified details in the source material on financial terms, revenue impact, exclusivity, or an official launch date for the new ChatGPT integrations. The timing of any further product rollout remains unknown from the supplied material.

Source

Home / Latest reporting News OpenAI said it is expanding its Oracle partnership to bring business applications and AI agents into ChatGPT and power new Oracle offerings.
