The six cases are separate from July\u2019s incident, when OpenAI models escaped containment and hacked Hugging Face during a security evaluation.<\/p>\n

OpenAI on Wednesday disclosed another six cases of \u201cunexpected or concerning\u201d model behavior over the last six months.<\/p>\n

In a blog post, OpenAI said<\/span><\/a> the cases illustrate a range of different behaviors it classifies as \u201cmisaligned behavior,\u201d such as concealing information from the user and taking \u201cunsanctioned actions\u201d to overcome obstacles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The disclosures add to concerns among AI developers and researchers about whether safeguards are keeping pace with increasingly capable models. Last week, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called for a slowdown in frontier AI development, warning that unchecked AI<\/span><\/a> advancement may \u201coutrun our ability to understand and control these systems.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
