Samsung Electronics integrates ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex across global operations, marking one of OpenAI’s largest AI rollouts to date.<\/p>\n

Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) has rolled out OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT<\/a> Enterprise and Codex to employees worldwide, in one of the largest enterprise AI deployments to date. The initiative aims to enhance productivity across functions like R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and corporate operations, signaling Samsung\u2019s deepening commitment to AI integration.<\/p>\n

The deployment will cover all Samsung employees in Korea, as well as its global Device eXperience (DX) division workforce. By incorporating ChatGPT, employees can streamline knowledge-based tasks such as data analysis, document drafting, and idea generation. Codex, initially developed for coding, will also support non-technical teams in automating workflows and developing internal tools.<\/p>\n

This move builds on Samsung\u2019s broader AI strategy, which has ramped up significantly since 2023. Earlier milestones include a strategic partnership with OpenAI in October 2025 to advance global AI infrastructure, and a March 2026 collaboration with AMD to develop next-generation AI memory solutions. Samsung is positioning itself as a vertically integrated AI leader, spanning semiconductors, telecom networks, and consumer AI platforms.<\/p>\n

“This historic deployment for OpenAI is particularly significant because Samsung Electronics, a global leader in technology and manufacturing, is embracing AI not as a tool limited to certain teams or functions, but as a core platform for improving how employees around the world work and innovate,” said Harrison Kim, General Manager of OpenAI Korea.<\/p>\n

Notably, the rollout comes as Codex usage surges in Korea, with weekly active users increasing by 800% since February 2026. Globally, over 5 million users now rely on Codex for both technical and non-technical workflows. For Samsung, the integration of these tools represents a significant step in workforce transformation, aligning with its security policies and governance frameworks to ensure safe enterprise AI use.<\/p>\n

Samsung\u2019s latest AI deployment also ties into its semiconductor ambitions. OpenAI and Samsung have previously collaborated on AI infrastructure, including advanced memory semiconductors for next-gen AI systems. With this rollout, the partnership expands from hardware to workforce and operational AI adoption.<\/p>\n

The global AI push is mirrored by other leading Korean corporations, such as LG Electronics and Kakao, which have also adopted OpenAI solutions. Seoul National University recently introduced ChatGPT Edu to its community, emphasizing AI\u2019s growing role across sectors in South Korea.<\/p>\n

Samsung\u2019s market cap recently surpassed the $1 trillion milestone in May 2026, highlighting investor confidence in its diversified AI strategy. Its stock price (\u20a9XX,XXX as of June 24, 2026) reflects the company\u2019s position as a key player in AI, semiconductors, and consumer electronics.<\/p>\n

With AI increasingly becoming central to Samsung\u2019s business operations, this rollout could serve as a benchmark for other global enterprises looking to integrate advanced generative AI tools.
