The three members of Congress said the volatility of digital assets and \u201clack of regulation and safeguards\u201d could put Americans\u2019 retirement savings at risk.<\/p>\n

Top Democrats on three House and Senate committees called on the US Labor Department to halt its plans to allow digital assets and \u201calternative assets\u201d to be held in Americans’ retirement plans.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a Tuesday letter, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Bobby Scott asked<\/a> acting Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling to rescind the department\u2019s proposal to allow private equity, digital assets, private credit, and other \u201calternative assets\u201d to be included in 401(k) plans. <\/p>\n
