Public miners are trimming Bitcoin reserves as tightening margins, debt pressure and a post-crash reset force the industry to rethink its once-popular hold strategy.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin mining companies have offloaded a sizable portion of their Bitcoin reserves in recent months, signaling a shift away from the self-treasury strategy that dominated the industry during the 2024\u20132025 market upcycle.<\/p>\n

According to TheEnergyMag\u2019s Miner Weekly newsletter, publicly listed miners have sold more than 15,000 Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) since October. That month marked the market\u2019s peak before a historic flash crash triggered widespread deleveraging<\/a> across the industry.<\/p>\n

Several large miners contributed to the sell-off. The newsletter highlighted Cango\u2019s February sale<\/a> of 4,451 BTC, equal to roughly 60% of its reserves, as well as Bitdeer, which reportedly liquidated its entire Bitcoin treasury last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n
