As of Thursday, the firm held $20.8 worth of INJ tokens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur conviction in Injective remains unchanged,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Pineapple Financial (NYSE: PAPL) is accelerating its <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24INJ&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$INJ<\/a> acquisitions.<\/p>\n<p>Today, they announced additional INJ accumulated from the open market as they continue to expand their Injective first treasury strategy in the public equity markets. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iB4fUC4yWw\">https:\/\/t.co\/iB4fUC4yWw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Injective \ud83e\udd77 (@injective) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/injective\/status\/2024651034727969142?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">February 20, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company first purchased Injective tokens in October last year, acquiring 678,353 INJ tokens worth $8.9 million at the time. A month earlier, it had completed a $100 million private placement to establish an Injective digital asset treasury. The stated goal was to become \u201cthe world\u2019s largest holder and staker of $INJ.\u201d The company stakes all its tokens.<\/p>\n<p>The tokens it purchased in October have now lost over 75% of their value, down from $12.4 at the time to $3.31 at press time. However, this has not affected the company\u2019s strategy and it continues to accumulate.<\/p>\n<p>Pineapple\u2019s contribution to the Injective ecosystem goes beyond the token accumulation. It has indicated plans to integrate the network\u2019s DeFi infrastructure and asset tokenization into its mortgage operations. Injective has recently announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/inj-rallies-injective-launches-iip-619\/\">IIP-619<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/injective-turns-revenue-into-inj-buyback\/\">Community Buyback<\/a> to spark the token\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Injective investment underscores our conviction in the strength of the $INJ token\u2019s future and our ambition to create the world\u2019s largest and most productive INJ treasury platform,\u201d CEO <span class=\"xn-person\">Shubha Dasgupta <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/press-release\/pineapple-launches-100-million-injective-digital-asset-treasury-strategy-completing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">commented<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to a financial report published a week ago, the company claims to have $42.74 million in its digital asset treasury, consisting of the $20 million in INJ, $5 million in stablecoins and $15 million in cash. However, with its shares trading at $0.73, the company\u2019s entire market cap is less than half its DAT at around $20 million.<\/p>\n<h3>The Rise of Digital Asset Treasury Companies<\/h3>\n<p>Pineapple Financial is one of dozens of listed companies that are gradually pivoting from their original business lines to become digital asset treasuries.<\/p>\n<p>Strategy remains the industry poster boy, and its turnaround from a struggling enterprise solutions company to hit $120 billion in market cap last year has inspired these DATs to continue accumulating. Initially, treasuries were limited to BTC and ETH, but they are now branching out into smaller tokens.<\/p>\n<p>As we <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/solana-company-stock-rises\/\">reported<\/a>, one such DAT, the Solana Company, recently announced that it would allow institutions to borrow against their natively staked SOL, which gave its stock a big boost. Another DAT, Sui Group, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/sui-group-plans-sui-buybacks\/\">announced<\/a> in January that it would launch a new Sui-based stablecoin for token buybacks.<\/p>\n<p>Financial experts have warned against these DATs, which they say is crypto\u2019s latest bubble, and once it explodes, thousands of investors will lose billions of dollars.
