It supports an omnichain setup, where one dApp can operate natively across multiple chains without the need for a separate implementation for each chain. LayerZero unveiled its own new chain, known as Zero and powered by the ZRO token, on Wednesday, with Citadel Securities and ARK Invest as the first investors.<\/p>\n<p>As we have previously reported, other major networks are connected to LayerZero. IOTA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/iota-layerzero-integration\/\">connected<\/a> last December, Stellar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/stellar-leverages-layerzero\/\">connected<\/a> in November and TON <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/ton-blockchain-integration-layerzero\/\">connected<\/a> last February.<\/p>\n<p>According to Intersect, the integration will unlock access to 150+ blockchains, enable access to 400+ tokens and open up over $80 billion in omnichain assets.<\/p>\n<h3>Cardano\u2019s Biggest Cross-Chain Connectivity Upgrade<\/h3>\n<p>Some of the Cardano network\u2019s most important organizations have hailed the integration as one of the most important in the network\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>Intersect stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This integration unlocks the largest cross-chain connectivity expansion in Cardano\u2019s history, opening pathways to stablecoin liquidity, Bitcoin-backed assets, tokenized real-world assets, and shared DeFi infrastructure across the broader crypto ecosystem.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Cardano Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Cardano_CF\/status\/2021827770020479396\">dubbed<\/a> it \u201cthe largest interoperability unlock in our ecosystem\u2019s history\u201d and a major milestone for the entire ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>In his keynote address at Consensus Hong Kong, Hoskinson <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/StakeWithPride\/status\/2021785260066058697\">revealed<\/a> that his team has been in talks with LayerZero for several months over the integration.<\/p>\n<p>In the same keynote, Hoskinson also revealed that the Midnight Network\u2019s mainnet would roll out before the end of March. As we <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/hoskinson-unveils-midnight-fourth-gen\/\">reported<\/a>, Midnight first launched its testnet late last year, with the NIGHT token now amassing $829 million in market cap.
