The effort is being led by the country\u2019s Ministry for the Cabinet Office and Digital Innovation and was announced in Davos, Switzerland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Notably, the project will increase the resilience, transparency, and verifiability of public records by storing them across a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/what-are-defi-a-complete-guide-to-decentralized-finance\/\"><span>decentralized<\/span><\/a><span> network of independent storage providers. Public datasets are being prepared for long-term availability so that citizens and researchers can retrieve files and confirm their integrity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bermuda\u2019s initial uploads include employment and labour publications that track trends in the local labour market. CNF <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/metamask-lead-the-pack-in-dev-activity\/\"><span>noted<\/span><\/a><span> that Filecoin logged 343.6 GitHub commits over the period, ahead of StarkNet at 259.13.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Filecoin: Public Records Preservation Through Democracy\u2019s Library<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>The Bermuda uploads are being carried out with the Internet Archive through Democracy\u2019s Library, an online collection that provides access to government documents, research, and publications from multiple jurisdictions. The Filecoin Foundation and the Internet Archive previously collaborated on the preservation of public datasets under the same program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>More than one petabyte of government materials has already been stored on Filecoin through related work, according to the announcement. Examples cited include the End of Term Web Archive, which preserves U.S. government websites during administration transitions, and the Aruba Collection, which includes over 100,000 items from Aruba\u2019s memory institutions, such as the National Library and National Archives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Premier and Minister of Finance E. David Burt said the collaboration will strengthen the durability of public records while allowing verification of data integrity by Bermuda\u2019s residents and other users.<\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span><br \/><\/span><span>The Foundation\u2019s President and Chair Marta Belcher added:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span>On a decentralized version of the web, data remains accessible even if some devices fail, so that the availability of information isn\u2019t dependent on any one server or company.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>The announcement listed features associated with the model, including replication across providers to reduce outage risk and the use of cryptographic content identifiers that change if a file is altered, enabling detection of tampering. Officials said files can be retrieved and independently verified, supporting transparent access and preservation for public archives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bermuda also linked the initiative to its broader digital policy, noting that since 2018, it has maintained a regulatory framework for digital asset activity through the Digital Asset Business Act and the Bermuda Monetary Authority\u2019s principles-based approach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Additionally, CNF recently <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/filecoin-tops-crypto-ai-devt-rankings\/\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span> that Filecoin topped Santiment\u2019s crypto AI and big data development rankings with a score of 348.03.
