AFP Protecci\u00f3n says access to the Bitcoin-linked fund will be limited to qualified investors and will not alter the core allocation of Colombian pension savings.<\/p>\n

Colombia\u2019s second-largest private pension and severance fund manager, AFP Protecci\u00f3n, is preparing to launch an investment fund with exposure to Bitcoin.<\/p>\n

Juan David Correa, president of Protecci\u00f3n SA, confirmed<\/a> the initiative during an interview with local outlet Valora Analitik. According to Correa, access to the product will be limited and granted only through a personalized advisory process designed to assess each investor\u2019s risk profile. Only clients who meet specific criteria will be able to allocate a portion of their portfolios to Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most important element is diversification,\u201d Correa noted, adding that \u201cthose who can participate will find a space for a percentage of their portfolio, if they so wish, to be exposed to this type of asset.\u201d<\/p>\n
