The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said no political or personal financial ties will impact the procedural review of World Liberty Financial\u2019s bank charter application.<\/p>\n

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has knocked back US Senator Elizabeth Warren\u2019s bid to pause the review of World Liberty Financial\u2019s application for a national trust bank charter, a move she sought until US President Donald Trump divests his stake in the crypto platform.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The OCC\u2019s Jonathan Gould confirmed<\/a> on Friday that WLF\u2019s application will be evaluated under existing regulatory standards while emphasizing that no political or personal financial ties will impact the procedural review of the bank charter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe OCC intends to act consistent with this duty rather than your demand,\u201d he said in response to Warren\u2019s Jan. 14 letter.<\/a> <\/p>\n
