The film, titled 765874: Unification<\/em>, debuted at RenderCon and features actors performing through real-time digital prosthetics that overlay CG likenesses of the original Kirk and Spock. The production raises questions the industry is still wrestling with\u2014concerns over AI in film remain active, with ongoing debates about job displacement and creative authenticity. But Unification<\/em> positioned itself differently by securing explicit consent and treating the technology as a tool for human performance rather than replacement.<\/p>\n
