According to an official update, the tools would include the Horizon API Clients, RPC API Clients, Ingest SDK, Reusable Data Abstractions, and others. As part of this move, its \u201cGo Repo\u201d would also be renamed stellar\/go-stellar-sdk.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1234607\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1234607\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1234607 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot_20251202-083810.jpg\" alt=\"Stellar Lumens \" width=\"636\" height=\"1028\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1234607\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BuildOnStellar\/status\/1995615273794371832\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Build on Stellar <\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>The Reason For These Changes<\/h3>\n<p>In a post reviewed by CNF, Stellar Lumens highlighted that developers on the \u201cStellar in Go\u201d have, over the years, worked within a \u201csingle, sprawling monorepo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>To find usable SDK components, they had to depend on weak conventions. Not just that. Builders had to import the RPC client from a separate repository, navigate a complicated CI setup in a bid to even make a minor change, and miss out on tools like the Ingest SDK.<\/p>\n<p>According to the post, the lack of clarity in this structure made it difficult for its community to seamlessly adopt or even extend their data tooling. This, however, was not the case for developers in other languages. Specifically, some Stellar SDKs, like JavaScript and Python, have their Horizon and RPC clients in a single repository.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The new Go SDK fixes this. It means only reusable developer-facing packages stay in the monorepo, making it clear what\u2019s part of Stellar\u2019s official SDK surface.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Apart from these, it is reported that there could be several structural changes that would clarify ownership and simplify the Go ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>While this latest development appears as a comprehensive cleanup, Stellar Lumens explains that this could also be seen as a more advanced strategy towards a more unified developer experience. Additionally, it would improve discoverability and ensure that the Go ecosystem is aligned with the structure of other Stellar SDKs.<\/p>\n<p>The post also confirms that this move would not be the end, as the new SDK can now enable them to help developers transition to Stellar RPC from Horizon\u2019s Indexed API. Also, they would introduce a lot of high-level abstractions in a manner that would be consistent across languages.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the backdrop of this, the team has announced that it is laying the groundwork for its X-Ray upgrade. As <a href=\"https:\/\/stellar.org\/blog\/developers\/announcing-stellar-x-ray-protocol-25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">noted<\/a> in an earlier post, this initiative would make it easier for developers to build \u201cconfigurable and compliance-forward privacy applications using Zero-Knowledge cryptography.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, XLM has been mentioned among the ISO 20022-compliant cryptos alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/what-is-ripple-and-what-is-xrp-origin-and-beginner-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">XRP<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/hedera-hbar-explained-2025-technology-tokenomics-real-world-use-cases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hedera (HBAR)<\/a>, and others, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/iso-20022-launch-just-days-away-xrp-xlm-iota-and-hbar-poised-for-huge-rally-why-it-could-spark-the-next-big-crypto-boom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indicated<\/a> in our earlier coverage.<\/p>\n<h3>Stellar Lumens (XLM) Price Response<\/h3>\n<p>The price of XLM has marginally recorded a <span><b>0.32%<\/b><\/span> surge in the last 24 hours to trade at $0.23. However, this was not enough to overturn its weekly and monthly declines of <span><b>7%<\/b><\/span> and <span><b>24%<\/b><\/span> respectively.<\/p>\n<p>According to CoinMarketCap data, XLM\u2019s daily trading volume remains <span><b>6%<\/b><\/span> up.
