The disclosure confirms the platform\u2019s rapid rise, placing its value at $1.2<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> billion before a separate massive investment from the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n

The funding was secured<\/a> in two tranches: A $55<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> million round in 2024 led by Blockchain Capital, which valued the firm at $350<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> million and a <\/span>$150<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> million round in <\/span>2025 led by <\/span>Founders Fund, which brought its valuation to <\/span>$1.2<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> billion.<\/span><\/p>\n

The total funding for Polymarket now stands at nearly $279<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> million prior to its most recent deal. The 2025 funding round included a roster of major institutional backers, such as Ribbit, Valor, Point72 Ventures, Coinbase, and Dragonfly, Coplan stated.<\/p>\n

The revelation of the past funding rounds follows closely on the heels of the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)\u2014the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)\u2014announcing plans to invest up to $2<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> billion in Polymarket. This strategic investment values the prediction platform at a staggering $9<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> billion post-money, a significant jump from its prior $1.2<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> billion private valuation.<\/p>\n

ICE Chairman and CEO, Jeffrey C. Sprecher, praised Polymarket\u2019s focus on user engagement, stating, \u201cTogether, ICE and Polymarket can tap into new opportunities across event-driven markets.\u201d<\/p>\n
