AI Eye.<\/p>\n\n<p>OpenAIs Sam Altman has been talking GPT-5 up as a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/tsarnick\/status\/1887965408986284424\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">quantum leap in intelligence <\/a>for so long, that it was almost inevitable its release would be something of a disappointment.<\/p>\n<p>While its not quite New Coke level bad, its not the reception theyd hoped for.<\/p>\n<p>Social media was immediately flooded with GPT-5 (apparently) giving very stupid answers, including <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GregHBurnham\/status\/1953804170533707831\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">obvious logic <\/a>flaws, stating that <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ai_for_success\/status\/1953753416242712708\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">9.11 is greater than 9.9<\/a> and following patterns to the incorrect conclusions.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAIs odds on <a href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/which-company-has-best-ai-model-end-of-august\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Polymarket <\/a>for having the best model by end of August plunged from 75% to just 8% in the aftermath, though its climbed back to 24% since.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/magazine\/everybody-hates-gpt-5-ai-shows-social-media-cant-be-fixed-ai-eye\/\">Read more<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vitalik Buterin endorses AI doomer book, ChatGPT dietary advice sends man insane, and the funniest thing every written by an AI.
